Siemens announces a 325 MW wind turbine order in United States within one week
Siemens Energy has been awarded another major order for a wind farm in the United States with a capacity of nearly 325 megawatts (MW). The company will supply 141 units of its 2.3-MW turbines for the Biglow Canyon Wind Farm Phases 2 and 3 in Sherman County in Oregon. Read more…
Aleo Solar supplies modules worth over 35 million euros to Europe’s sunniest countries
Aleo Solar today announced that it continues to expand its market position in Europe. Customers from Germany, Spain, Italy and Greece have ordered additional aleo modules worth more than 35 million euros for the current year. Vestas receives large order in Sweden
Vestas has received an order for a total of 95.4MW for Sweden. The order for the Havsnäs project consists of 45 units of the V90-2.0MW turbine and three units of the V90-1.8 MW wind turbine. The contract includes supply, installation, commissioning, a VestasOnline Business SCADA solution as well as a five-year service contract. Read more…
Wärtsilä released to begin the 163 MWe gas power plant in California by Pacific Gas and Electric
Wärtsilä North America, a subsidiary of Wärtsilä Corporation was in March released to begin detailed engineering and manufacturing on a 163 MWe gas-fired power plant ("Plant") for Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E). E.ON promotes renewables and CO2-free power generation

Wind industry adopts new standards for domestic wind turbines
BWEA has launched a new Small Wind Turbine (SWT) performance and safety standard at yesterday’s BRE Small Scale Wind Seminar. The standard will allow consumers wishing to install small wind systems, to compare products on a like for like basis. It is a result of extended testing of turbines in operational conditions.
